Getting There from Australia

There are no direct flights from Australia to East Africa, so most journeys connect through a hub such as Johannesburg, Doha, Dubai, Singapore or Nairobi. Door to door, expect roughly a day of travel, a little more or less depending on your departure city and connection. We recommend arriving a day early and resting in a comfortable hotel before your first safari, and where it makes sense, building in a night in a hub city on the way home. We can also arrange your international flights through trusted partners or work alongside flights you have already booked.

Most of East Africa is five to eight hours behind Australian eastern states, and southern Africa six to nine, depending on daylight saving, so jet lag is generally mild.
