For travellers who cannot choose, this journey includes both. You begin in Kigali with a morning of reflection and culture, trek to gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, then cross into Uganda to track a second family in Bwindi, with a night or two in a lodge beside a lake in between. It is a wonderful way to compare two very different gorilla experiences and to enjoy two very different landscapes.
